Pastor A. Richmond Johnson & 1st Lady Arneter Johnson


Pastor Richmond Johnson is the compassionate Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 
​in Bremerton, WA.  
​He believes in the principles that were established in this country and has served his country in the US Army. He is a recent retiree from the Federal Government Service as a Subject Matter NAVSEA Program Compliance Expert.
He received his
doctoral of Ministry Degree from Covenant Bible Seminary in Lakewood WA. and a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University. He received the A Philip Randolph Institution, "Outstanding Community Leadership Award" and “Bremerton NAACP Community Service Award.” He recently received the Kitsap Bar Association Liberty Bell Award for his extraordinary work promoting and building bridges with Police and Community Together (P.A.C.T.).  Pastor Johnson has always had vision to make his environment and family life better.
His favorite quote is: When you die you're meant to leave this earth not on a pension but on a purpose.
He has continued to mentor while encouraging youth and teenagers to operate in their gift. He promotes the concept that every person has a purpose and every person is gifted with a gift to help them win in life.  Currently as Director of PYA (Partnering for Youth Achievement) he is leading the church ministries in  working with our at risk youth, Bremerton Housing Authority, and local churches in order to help our youth become independent, responsible adults.  
He has been happily married for over 40 years and could not have been as effective in life without his loving wife Arneter. They have 3 adult children (Pastor Rich, Nitasha, and Isaac and one granddaughter. He continues to believe that with God the impossible can be made possible. When you are down to nothing God is up to something, and the best is yet to come.
